The internationally renowned conceptual artist and musician Stephen Prina gives a public workshop as part of the cooperation between Kölnischer Kunstverein and Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (School of Music and Dance Cologne). In his artistic work Prina taps into a widely differentiated esthetic reference system including pop and new music, painting and architecture. He also works as a composer and for many years has been a member of the avant-garde rock band The Red Krayola.

In the workshop Prina will present his two films Vinyl II andThe Way He Always Wanted It II. He will also speak about strategies of composition and his interdisciplinary ways of working. Part of the seminar will be dedicated to the preparation of the music performance together with students of the School of Music and Dance Cologne which is to take place as part of his solo show He was but a bad translation. at Kölnischer Kunstverein.
